$200-$550 cash incentive

Keep your home warm, comfortable and energy efficient by upgrading to an ENERGY STAR® qualified high-efficiency gas furnace. Your new gas furnace will deliver clean, consistent heat while using less energy overall, so you can enjoy a cozier home, bigger energy savings and lower monthly bills.

Washington single-family property $200

95% annual fuel utilization efficiency (AFUE) or greater.

Washington single-family rental property $550

Gas furnace must be installed in a single-family rental property by an approved Energy Trust trade ally contractor (manufactured homes also qualify).

Home must not be owner occupied.

90% annual fuel utilization efficiency (AFUE) or greater.

Washington condo, townhome, duplex, triplex, or fourplex $200

Gas furnace must be installed by an approved Energy Trust trade ally contractor.

90% annual fuel utilization efficiency (AFUE) or higher.

Furnace must be home’s primary heating source.

Washington condo, townhome, duplex, triplex, or fourplex rental property $550

Gas furnace must be installed by an approved Energy Trust trade ally contractor.

90% annual fuel utilization efficiency (AFUE) or higher.

Furnace must be home’s primary heating source.

If you own or manage a single-family rental property, you may qualify for limited-time increased incentives. To qualify, you must hire a participating Instant Incentive Energy Trust trade ally contractor trained to provide services for rental properties. Homes cannot be owner occupied.

To qualify for an incentive, a gas furnace must be used as the home’s primary heat source.

Energy Trust no longer offers incentives for gas furnaces used as backups for high-efficiency heat pumps, also known as hybrid systems.

Incentives are subject to funding availability and may change.

Incentives are not intended to influence consumer decisions on fuel sources.

Federal Tax Credit

Gas furnaces that are ENERGY STAR certified (except those for U.S. South only) meet the requirements for the furnace tax credit. Gas and oil furnaces that have earned the ENERGY STAR include fans that meet the requirements of the fan tax credit.
